Burger

educational project

Role:

UX/UI and Web Designer.

Project Overview

"Burger" is a conceptual website project for a premium burger restaurant, designed in Figma to practice and demonstrate skills in building design systems using variables. This concept showcases high-quality visual presentation, user-friendly interaction, and leverages modern design and prototyping tools.

Problem

Creating a conceptual website to explore and implement advanced techniques in design systems, specifically utilizing Figma variables to ensure flexibility and scalability.

Solution

I developed a design system based on Figma variables (colors, typography, spacing), enabling quick and seamless updates across the interface and ensuring visual consistency. The concept included sections for menu browsing, table reservations, delivery options, and general restaurant information, emphasizing minimalist yet expressive design elements.

Methodology I Used

• Developing and applying a design system utilizing Figma variables

• User-Centered Design (UCD)

• Wireframing and prototyping

• Iteratively refined the layout, focusing on usability and responsive behavior.

Research

Analyzed existing premium restaurant websites, explored the capabilities of design systems and Figma variables, and conducted interface usability and visual effectiveness testing.

Who I Interacted With

• Feedback from the design community for concept improvements

• Discussions and exchanges with fellow UX/UI designers

Tools I Used

• Figma (primary tool for design and design system creation)

• Affinity Designer (graphic asset creation)

• Affinity Photo (image editing)

The "Burger" concept allowed me to refine my skills in using Figma variables and effectively demonstrated my capabilities in developing flexible, efficient design systems.
